About this site

Sitting in the wine country watching to world go by is well worth the effort… soaking up the Internet provides distractions from the rest of the world.

The challenge is to tie them together.

About the Towel

About me, hum. Well, I guess I am a consultant, writer, counselor – three things I have been doing for years, but what I am doing since I retired in July 2003.

I was the Project Administrator for the California Student Friendly Services Project which developed the CaliforniaColleges.edu website. Prior to joining this project I was one of the founding members of the IMS Global Learning Consortium and part of the senior management team of that global not-for-profit effort to develop the technical specifications for distributed learning. These two efforts followed a thirty plus year career in university administration.

Sandwiched in-between were stretches of writing for InfoWorld, Macintosh Today, Mac Week and Syllabus as well as numerous consulting engagements and a few entrepreneurial adventures.
